for years i spent dreaming and imagining the family i would someday create. today and every day i learn something new on my own parenting journey and i would love to share it with you! as a teenager i made myself a promise to share my life in the attempt to help people feel a bit less lonely in their own journeys. MasiThreads was a blog created with the intent to help parents read about my ramblings and ideas on life and my family!

privilege and independence

As I get older and the frontal lobe finishes its development, I find myself recognizing more of my privilege with each passing month. Growing up I always lived a very sheltered and protected life; I was primarily around family and was rarely allowed out of my house for extracurricular or recreational activities. I spent a year at college exercising my free reign in a healthily irresponsible but responsible as an eighteen-year-old could be, before getting pregnant and getting
